Rough drawing for =dracoticcannibal's Before and After Feature at [link]

I only drew a few Dragons when I was younger, maybe three in total. This is my first ever dragon, I think, from 1996. And the only one I have.


This is what he'd look like today.
This is ALSO why I never ever draw scales on my Dragons now.
Never again.

Wow! Great progressive picture :D
Have you ever tried large scales? I despise drawing the tiny little ones (hurts my eyes!), so I draw large, overlapping scales.

I've never been good at scales, though i wish I had the patience for any sort of them. I'll have to give your suggestion a go. As I've not tried big scales. :nod:

Big scales are a pain until you can figure out a pattern that works. :iconhumingbird: is really great at large scales...you might want to check out her character Rasasa for a bit of reference.

Well, as I said before (like... months ago) they'll be pretty big. So more space for detail, I guess?
And yeah, I know you hate scales, which was my point. xD

But I guess we will see closer to the time, I'm willing to pay more for them, so we can discuss at some point.
